Hurricane Harvey

Hurricane Harvey

As many of your are aware. My home state is Texas. It has been hit with the disastrous Hurricane Harvey. Now the tropical storm is also dumping even more water. Over 6 million people live in the Houston area and outskirts with 2 million people living in the city alone.

The hurricane was not advertised to be as horrible as it actually was. It was originally a category 3 and when it landed became a category 4. My family and friends in Houston are safe, but many others are displaced without a shelter, clothing, or food.

I am posting two shirt designs here to support the victims of Hurricane Harvey with 100% of the profit going to the victims via the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund. The shirts are available in sizes S-3XL. Kid and toddler sizes are also available. They will be $16 for adult and $14 for toddler/kid sizes. If interested please reply with what sizes you need and the choice of design. A. Deep Waters or B. flood. I can also ship the shirts. Shipping cost vary depending on where you live and the quantity you order. First class starts off at $2.77 for under 14 oz for example.

Being a former police officer, I have seen disasters before, but nothing of this magnitude. Houston officers right now are working 22 hours on with 2 hours off to sleep. None of them are off. I imagine the same for other safety personnel. Please keep them in your prayers as well as the families affected.

If you would rather donate directly there are also several avenues to support victims:

Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund- established by Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner

Houston Food Bank- accepting food or cash donations

Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Texas- helping displaced animals

Texas Diaper Bank- providing emergency diaper kits to displaced families.
